The scent of the American West — leather, sandalwood, and cardamom evoke campfires and open plains.

NYC in a bottle
Walk through any upscale neighborhood in Manhattan and you will catch Santal 33 in the air. The cardamom-sandalwood core is warm and inviting, and the leather note gives it a quiet sophistication. It sits close to the skin after an hour, which I actually prefer — it becomes your personal scent rather than announcing itself.
Overrated skin scent
I wanted to love this given the hype, but the longevity is genuinely disappointing. After 90 minutes it fades to a faint sandalwood-cedar whisper that barely registers. The opening is nice enough, but at Le Labo prices I need more than two hours of projection. Smells like expensive laundry detergent on some skin types.
